Realme 2 Pro Overview And Opinions

Realme 2 Pro Honest Review !

The arrival of Realme 1 took the smartphone market by storm , packing the mighty Helio P60 which gives a tough competition to the snapdragon 660 and totally outperforms the snapdragon 636 starting just at the price of 8999/- for the 3 gigabyte ram model. And now its successor has blown away the competition with great specs and awesome pricing. Lets see if it lives up to the hype or notπŸ˜‰.

Physical Overview :

The phone is 8.5mm thick which is considered on the thicker side , but for the price , i am definitely not complaining . It has a plastic body with a glass kinda feel , which looks good , but is a fingerprint magnet tbh.

It comes with a 6.3 inches 19;9 water drop notch full hd+ display , which is beautiful . It gets enough bright for any lighting condition . It has corning gorilla glass 3 protection and comes with a screen protector which is useless and you should buy a tempered glass if you are a rough user like me😜.

The glass is not wrapped cleanly to the sides and it fells a bit rough , which is quite annoying , and thus a case has to be bought for this phone.

DESIGN RATING - 8/10.

SOFTWARE:

It runs on color os 8.2 which is a custom ui based on android 8.1 which is bit of a shame because the custom ui they use is absolute bullshit( And i am being nice here , honestly ).

The notifications cant be cleared by swiping , the themes system they use is crap , there is no app drawer , and settings menu is messed up and has no option to search setings.

SOFTWARE RATING : 4.5/10.

PERFORMANCE:

0 lags on everything we threw at it , be it pubg , asphalt 9 or even emulated gaming , everything seemed buttery smooth to us.
We had 0 issues in performance , and its a big thumbs up from us if you are a light gamer and a heavy user.

PERORMANCE RATING: 9/10

BATTERY:

Realme has not gone with a big battery here , the battery backup was decent and it lasted a full day of moderate usage

BATTERY RATING: 7/10

CAMERA:

The Realme 2 Pro packs in a 16-megapixel main rear camera with a f/1.7 aperture, which captures good detail in daylight. In landscape shots, we noticed good dynamic range and colours, with plenty of details even in smaller objects, such as leaves on trees at a distance. The wide aperture produces a pleasing bokeh effect in close-up shots, which once again is handled well. We struggled to get a clear shot when shooting fast-moving objects such as pets due to slight shutter lag, but other than this, autofocus was quick. There’s a button for 2x zoom, which essentially does a digital zoom so it's not particularly helpful.

CAMERA RATING: 8/10

CONCLUSION:

The phone is a good competitor for any phone under 15k out there and is a great phone to have , it is a great choice for every user and wont cause much of a problem in any day to day task .

  2. From a hardcore Redmi user, this phone is probably the best one can get at this price range. Just the problem with these companies is the trust which companies like xiaomi, oneplus etc have built over the recent years.
